How We Select and Prepare Our Caregivers

AEG carefully screens and prepares caregivers to provide dependable, respectful and person-centered support throughout King, Pierce and Kitsap Counties.

Our caregiver screening and readiness standards include:

  • Completion of Washington State-required home care aide training or an approved credential, as applicable.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Professional reference checks.
  • Required Washington State background checks.
  • Tuberculosis risk assessment and testing when required.
  • Verification of credentials, work eligibility and role-specific qualifications.
  • Orientation, ongoing supervision and continuing training focused on safety, dignity and reliable care.
